ATR 42 for X-PLANE 7
repaint livery OLYMPIC AIRWAYS

the original ATR 42 model was designed by :
Stefano Caputo (flight model), Paolo Matricardi (visual model), Marco Spada and Daniele Ginola (panel)
as far as I know the current ATR 42 is only available as a repaint American Airlines livery from Efrain Hernandez
it remains unclear to me if it's a 42-300 or 42-500 version (non-corroborating informations)
Maximos Sevastopoulos made in 2003 a previous Olympic livery for x-plane 6 with very nice full 360° side panels ; I used his work as a starting point for this repaint.
the cockpit object comes from C.Riviere's ATR 72
All this was freely distributed on http://www.x-plane.org/ or other flightsim websites.
so, what did I do ?
widely improved the exterior paint with many details "as realistic as possible" (day and night livery), made the side panels fit with x-plane 7 (and made a new rear view), made the cockpit object fit the ATR 42 fuselage and finally added landing gear doors. Also changed the acf.file to fit the exterior actual registration SX-BIA (better for ATC and/or network flight). You can check real shots of this plane here (airliners.net).
So this aircraft is the produce of many people's work. Unfortunately I could not reach every of them, despite I tried two months long, sending many unanswered e-mails and asking almost fruitless in several x-plane dedicated forums. I hope the original authors of this plane won't feel offensed I publish the repaint in such conditions ! If so, thanks to contact me promptly.

Anyway I emphasize on the fact that this plane should in no case be distributed without these credits mentions ; as well it should not be included in any commercial package without explicit written consent of the authors.
And now, how to install it ?
1) download the American Airways version here : http://www.x-plane.org/registry/6444.shtml
2) duplicate the "American Atr 42" folder
3) rename it "Olympic ATR42"
4) delete the 4 files which name starts with "Eagle flight..." (the acf file and 3 bitmaps)
if you're unsure check the pict below
5) drag in the folder all the stuff contained in the present package
6) that's all ! enjoy your flights now, it's time to discover the nice Hellenic sky with this commuter plane...
